Bryan's Guide to Xmas dating

With only one more day to go until The Green Green Grass Christmas Day Special (8pm on BBC1), we present the very last installments in Bryan's Guide to Christmas Dating:

Rule number seven:" Clean your boots. No one likes someone wearing dirty Wellingtons around the house. Make sure you wear your special Christmas socks right over the festive season."

Rule number eight:" All women love animals so show your love for your herd by putting a bit of Christmas cheer into their lives by adding a little bit of brandy to their hay or sprinkle some cinnamon on their mangelwurzels."

Rule number nine: "Wear tinsel in your hat. Women love a joker and a love of tinsel shows you enjoy a laugh at your own expense. Prove you are a joker by practicing creeping up behind your female friends and then shouting Ho Ho Ho very loudly. They'll have hysterics."

Rule number ten: "Don't delay. If you do get lucky then proposing on New Year's Eve is a good idea (particularly after a few drinks). And don't have a long engagement. Ten years will be a disaster. A month would be better."
