At last! Hot news just in. Shooting has started on 7 new episodes of The Green Green Grass for transmission on BBC-1 later in the year.

Boycie, Marlene and the team have been back in Shropshire for three weeks of filming and are now at Teddington Studios to record in front of a live studio audience on Friday nights.

A New (Wo)Man About the House!

All the key cast from the first series return with a few familiar faces appearing as guests throughout the series including the star of the hit 70s sitcom, Man About the House, Paula Wilcox. Paula features as Marleneís lovelorn sister, Pertunia who comes to visit for the weekend, despite Boycieís strict instructions that they should cut all ties with Peckham. And Bryan takes quite a shine to her!

Newcomer Ian Bonar, fresh from BBC-1 drama Hotel Babylon, takes on the role of one of Tylerís school friends who thinks heís found his ideal woman...Marlene! And Beatriz Romilly also guest stars as a pupil visiting the school on French exchange.

And making their second appearance in The Green Green Grass are the infamous, dreaded Driscoll Brothers. Roy Marsden and Christopher Ryan return for just one episode; has Boycie finally got not nowhere left to run?
